VDC Project Designer
What You'll Do
- Utilize Autodesk Revit to support the production of 3D models and construction/shop drawings
- Affiliate with modeling efforts across electrical discipline projects
- Learn and apply VDC best practices to project execution
- Affiliate with drawing setup, sheet production, view creation, and model organization
- Interpret engineering and construction drawings and incorporate design intent into project models
- Participate in coordination meetings and support project deliverables
- Affiliate with project documentation, RFIs, and project tracking activities
- Maintain model quality and adherence to established standards and procedures
- Collaborate with senior team members to develop technical and coordination skills
What We're Looking For
- 1+ years of professional experience in VDC, BIM, drafting, design, construction technology, engineering, or a related field
- Professional experience using Autodesk Revit required
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, or similar tools preferred
- Exposure to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or construction environments preferred
- Passion for technology, construction, and continuous improvement
Summary
Strategic Mission Critical is seeking a Project Designer to join our growing Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) team supporting some of the world's most advanced mission critical facilities. This role is ideal for an early-career professional with prior industry experience who is looking to further develop their Revit, BIM, and VDC skillsets while working alongside experienced designers and coordinators.
Compensation
$65,000 / year
