About the role
The VDC Manager at Align Builders is responsible for supporting the implementation and execution of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and tools across various projects. This role involves close collaboration with project teams, architects, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure accurate, efficient, and aligned virtual design and real-world execution.
Responsibilities
- Create, update, and maintain accurate 3D models and 2D drawings across disciplines.
- Support BIM/VDC coordination efforts, including clash detection and issue tracking during design and construction phases.
- Aid in the development and implementation of BIM execution plans, standards, and workflows.
- Participate in managing federated models, integrating architectural, structural, and MEP systems.
- Collaborate with design teams, trade partners, and consultants to identify and help resolve coordination issues.
- Utilize BIM/VDC software programs daily (Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360/ACC).
- Ensure model accuracy and integrity through design iterations and field updates.
- Support internal teams and trade partners in adopting BIM processes and tools.
- Conduct periodic site visits to support field verification and alignment with construction conditions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management (preferred but not required).
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360/ACC.
- Familiarity with Laser Scanning process and implementation.
- Deep understanding of construction process and implementation.
- Interpersonal skills – ability to engage with internal team members, and external stakeholders, and trade contractors in a constructive, productive way to overcome obstacles and achieve results.
- Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
- Experience with Lean Construction or IPD is a plus.

Pay
The base pay range for this role is $115,000 – $135,000 per year.
