About the role
The VDC Engineer 2 assists and supports the VDC Manager or Senior VDC Manager on an assigned project. The position works under direct supervision, performs routine daily activities, and gathers and distributes information for the coordination effort on the project.
The VDC Engineer must be a flexible and adaptable team player and have strong communication and client service skills.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Aid in developing project-specific BIM Execution plan and contract attachments.
- Set up and maintain coordination schedule.
- Manage the file exchange of the latest models from trade partners and design teams.
- Model building components not modeled by the Architect or Design Team when required to complete MEP coordination.
- Perform clash detection reviews prior to coordination meetings.
- Manage the weekly coordination meetings and report progress to the project team and VDC team.
- Assist team with cmBuilder logistics/sequencing setup and management.
- Track and verify as-built submittals from key trades.
- Aid in training software workflows with project teams or trade partners.
- Monitor software/technologies available to make workflows more efficient.
- Assist Senior VDC Manager and VDC Managers.
- Aid in data capture and recording of existing, progress, and final conditions utilizing combinations of technologies IE 360 cameras, drones etc.
- Aid in overall IT/software usage within the Oklahoma City region.

- Other duties as assigned.
Job Skills & Abilities Guidelines
- Ability/willingness to attain drone pilot’s license (if not currently licensed).
- Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Autodesk Suite, Bluebeam, Revizto, Tekla, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability/willingness to learn new software and technology usage to support regional needs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math/accounting skills.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree- Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent.
- May substitute required education degree with related experience on a one-to-one basis.
- 2-5 years of experience in construction or architecture/design & knowledge of VDC Software.
