VDC Designer I

Location: Houston, Texas (Remote work available)

Pay Range: $65,000 - $90,000

About the role

Utilizes cutting-edge CAD systems and tools to create intricate construction and fabrication drawings for diverse commercial and industrial projects. Develops detailed drawings for manufacturing needs, leveraging technologies like AutoCAD for precision and accuracy. Provides onsite support for field personnel when needed, ensuring smooth communication between design and field teams. Interfaces with team leaders, project managers, shop fabrication managers, and field supervisors to coordinate project activities. Reviews equipment submittal documents for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with project specifications.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Proficiency with CAD systems, especially AutoCAD, for creating detailed drawings
• Strong understanding of construction and fabrication processes
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
• Ability to review technical documents and coordinate with multiple trades to ensure project clarity
