VDC Design Specialist - Plumbing & Piping

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive plumbing and piping models using Revit and other BIM software.
• Cook up with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure alignment of design intent and project specifications.
• Conduct clash detection and resolution to prevent conflicts in design and construction phases.
• Prepare construction documents, including detailed drawings and specifications for plumbing and piping systems.
• Implement design standards and best practices to ensure quality and efficiency in project delivery.
• Support project management efforts by providing accurate project timelines and resource estimates.
• Aid in the fabrication process by preparing shop drawings and ensuring compliance with design intent.
• Utilize hydraulics and HVAC knowledge to design efficient plumbing and piping systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in plumbing and piping design, preferably in a VDC environment.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other BIM software.
• Strong understanding of plumbing design standards and construction documents.
• Experience with clash detection tools and processes.
• Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
