Job Summary
The VDC Coordinator will implement Building Information Modeling (VDC) at the regional level, supporting ongoing projects, preconstruction/estimating, and new/additional work pursuits. They must reside in a Flintco office or near a VDC manager for cultural adaptation, training, mentorship, and support.
Responsibilities
- Be an enthusiastic champion in VDC and technology advancement
- Resolve VDC design issues and clashes
- Develop clash detection reports
- Manage coordination processes with subcontractors and project teams
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure milestones are met and clashes are resolved
- Distribute coordinated digital documents to the project team
- Aid in setting up and managing paperless jobsites
- Implement company/client VDC standards on projects
- Support the project team with VDC kiosks and mobile devices
- Develop technical information and presentations for RFP responses
- Participate in user group meetings for VDC-related software
- Assist with various project management tasks
- Commit to continuous process improvement
- Adhere to the matrix organizational format
- Model and reinforce safety as a top priority
- Ensure client satisfaction through positive, professional interactions
- Communicate effectively with CSS, Flintco Operations, Subcontractors, Architects, Engineers, and Owner Reps
- Support VDC technology needs of divisional offices
- Troubleshoot problems
- Liaise with national vendors
- Liaise with corporate technology support staff
- Liaise with software developer support staff and other support channels

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in construction or architectural field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Background/industry experience with architectural design, engineering, and MEP systems
- Experience and working knowledge with VDC systems
- Proficiency in Autodesk Suites, AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP, Revit, Navisworks, Sketch Up, and MS Office Suite
Special Job Dimensions
- Safely operates in a variety of environments, including fabrication shops, warehouses, maintenance shops, and project sites
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, moving machinery, high places, rough terrain, toxic chemicals, and extreme weather conditions
- Regularly works long hours for extended periods
