VD Shipping Clerk

About the role

Vantage Elevation, LLC is an independent, industry-leading manufacturer of elevator components and systems. Founded in 1899, Vantage employs over 1,000 people across manufacturing sites and offices in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. The company supports nearly every electro-mechanical device used in modern elevators.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments of goods and materials.
• Verify the accuracy of shipment contents against shipping documents.
• Record and track shipment details in a computer database or manual log.
• Package, label, and prepare outgoing shipments for delivery.
• Select and arrange carriers and transportation modes based on shipment characteristics and destination.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of shipments.
• Maintain inventory records and monitor stock levels.
• Identify and report any shipment discrepancies, damages, or other issues.
• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and safety standards.
• Fulfill additional general warehouse duties & activities.
• Forklift loading & offloading.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in shipping and receiving or a related field.
• Knowledge of shipping procedures, documentation, and regulations.
• Proficiency in using computers.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under tight deadlines.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy boxes and packages up to 50 LBS.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Ability to measure within 1/16”.

• Salary for Washington-based applicants: $22.00 per hour (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and in keeping with local legislation).
