Vascular Tech

Overview

Perform inpatient and/or outpatient vascular ultrasound testing to include various 2D / Doppler vascular imaging and physiologic testing. Provide complex technical care with the use of ultrasound technology for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and provide all necessary documentation and preliminary exam findings.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Vascular Sonography program (Required)
• In lieu of education, equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) (Required)

Work Experience

• No experience required
• 2 years related experience as a hospital inpatient or outpatient / ambulatory vascular sonographer (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support in accordance with the American Heart Association (Upon Hire Required)
• Current registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with one of the following:
  • RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist (within 1 Year Required)
• RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) with RVS certification (within 1 Year Required)
