About the Role

Full-time vascular surgery position including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access. Join an established team of 4 physicians and 1 Advanced Practitioner, with excellent mentoring opportunities from seasoned surgeons. Work within a cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff, allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferences. The team includes experienced clinical and non-clinical staff who know the patients and the community, as well as a High-Risk Patient Navigator to support patients throughout their journey. The system is fully integrated with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an average of 18-20 patients per clinic day
  • Pursue any special interests within the group
  • Work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities served
  • Maintain a patient-focused, friendly, and collaborative team environment
  • Demonstrate excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Surgery
  • Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary
  • Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
  • J-1 waiver sponsorship available
