Vascular Sonographer Technologist - UI Health, Diagnostic Services Vascular Lab

Full-time (1.0 FTE) day shift with rotating weekends, on-call, and holiday rotation

Responsibilities

• Perform the technical aspects of all arterial and venous studies on hospital and clinical patients.
• Position patients for scans; set up and adjust equipment for each scan.
• Prepare supplies, instruments, and equipment and assist physicians during related procedures.
• Select and adjust equipment and transducers to appropriate settings to obtain, record, store, transmit, and print optimal images.
• Confer with physician to determine if additional images or information is required.
• Ensure completion of patient records, preliminary report documentation, and patient charges.
• Coordinate with other departments to schedule exams and same-day add-on patients.
• Clean and disinfect transducers according to manufacturer recommendations and established infection control standards.
• Maintain adequate supplies in vascular ultrasound rooms and inform the manager when supplies are depleted.
• Provide technical assistance and instructions to students, employees, and medical residents.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current/valid registration, certification, or licensure in vascular sonography by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RVT) or Registered Vascular Sonographer through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification.

Pay

$43.82 - $67.76 per hour
