Vascular Access Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide expert bedside vascular access services across inpatient units, including ultrasound-guided insertion and maintenance of peripheral IVs, midlines, and PICC lines.
• Assess line necessity and monitor for complications.
• Collaborate with physicians and bedside nurses to ensure optimal patient care.
• Educate staff and patients on line care and maintenance.
• Follow evidence-based protocols to promote infection prevention.
• Document procedures thoroughly in the EMR.
• Support rapid response efforts and precept peers in a collaborative environment.
