About the role
Saugus High School is seeking applicants for the Head Varsity Softball coaching position.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all game and practice preparation and coaching.
- Handle all administrative duties, including departmental paperwork and policies.
- Team evaluation and selection.
- Work with students and families to ensure completion of all registration requirements for student eligibility.
- Follow all MIAA, league, and school policies and procedures.
- Equipment management, including uniforms and safety devices/materials.
- Oversee sub-varsity coaches.
- Represent Saugus High School at all required meetings.
Requirements
- Previous softball coaching experience at the high school level or above.
- MIAA Coaches Certification process completed in accordance with MIAA Rule #33.
- Current NFHS Concussion Course completion.
- Current CPR/First Aid/AED Certification.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- Must obtain and pass, if selected for the position: Fingerprints (SAFIS) program Criminal Background Check (CORI).
