Varsity/ Middle School Squash Coach

Position: Middle School Head Squash Coach/ Varsity Assistant Coach Location: Newton Country Day School, Newton, MA Season: Winter 2026-2027 (November– mid-February) Stipend: $5,500-8,000 Position Summary Newton Country Day School seeks a passionate and encouraging coach to serve as both the Middle School Head Squash Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach for the winter 2026–2027 season. This dual-role position supports the full squash program, with the middle school team practicing immediately before the varsity team each day. The ideal candidate will focus on teaching fundamentals, building confidence, and inspiring joy in the sport within a supportive, mission-driven environment, while also contributing to a competitive and developmentally focused varsity experience. Key Responsibilities Lead all aspects of middle school practices and matches, emphasizing skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.Support the varsity squash program as an assistant coach, contributing to planning, instruction, and match-day responsibilities.Mentor student-athletes of varying skill levels, fostering courage, confidence, discipline, and personal growth.Communicate effectively with student-athletes, families, and the Athletics Department.Demonstrate a willingness and ability to drive school vehicles for practices and competitions.Uphold and model the values of Sacred Heart education and the mission of Falcon Athletics, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all athletes.Complete other related duties as requested by the Director of Athletics. Preferred Qualifications Playing or coaching experience in squash.A passion for developing young women through sport.Enthusiasm for working with both middle school and upper school student-athletes.CPR/First Aid and SafeSport certifications (or willingness to complete prior to the season).CORI background check and fingerprinting required.
