About the role

King School Girls Volleyball is the most competitive prep program in New England with 10 straight championships and only one loss in the past four years, while earning national recognition with the last two Gatorade players of the year in Connecticut. King is looking for qualified applicants with High School or College Volleyball coaching and/or playing experience who are eager to contribute to the continued high-level success and culture of excellence within the program.

The assistant coach will support the Head Coach in all aspects of the program, including assisting with day-to-day operations, planning practice and training sessions, and helping with athlete and game management. The assistant coach will also uphold and promote the mission and philosophy of King School and the Athletic Department, while adhering to the rules set forth by the Fairchester Athletic Association and the New England Prep School Athletic Council.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in day-to-day operations of the volleyball program.
• Plan and execute practice and training sessions.
• Support athlete and game management.
• Uphold and promote the mission and philosophy of King School and the Athletic Department.
• Follow rules established by the Fairchester Athletic Association and the New England Prep School Athletic Council.
• Collaborate constructively with adults and students in a positive spirit.

Requirements

• High School or College Volleyball coaching and/or playing experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Commitment to working in a multicultural environment where varied identities are valued and respected.

Pay

$4,000 stipend.
