Varnisher

Surface Preparation

• Prepare wood, metal, fiberglass, and other surfaces for painting and varnishing.
• Preparation includes stripping, scuffing, sanding, masking, and priming surfaces, hardware, and windows.

Application

• Apply paint, varnish, stain, gel coat, enamel, and lacquer, as appropriate, using various techniques.
• Ensure smooth and even application.

Quality Control

• Inspect finished product for defects and ensure compliance with company standards and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum three (3) years of painting experience, preferably in boat building and/or working with fiberglass.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge and operation of basic hand and power tools; Sandpapers, paintbrushes, cleaning agents, tapes, grinders, surface sanders, DA and block sanders, polishers.
• Skilled in various painting techniques, including spray guns, brushes, and roller applications.
• Familiarity with matching and blending colors and achieving a smooth and even finish.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and be on your feet for a prolonged period.

Certifications

• Must hold a valid driver’s license.

Work Environment

• Location: On-site
• Conditions: Requires working under disagreeable conditions on a frequent basis, where elements such as dust, dirt, fumes, vibration, noise, and chemicals may be present.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
