Responsibilities
- Provides ongoing patient information to the interventionist and clinical team during procedures to deliver care to the patient including but not limited to cardiac monitoring, aldrete score, pain status.
- Maintains prescription drug logs.
- Assists in recovery room patient care following procedure.
- Gathers patient clinical information prior to procedures including patient assessments and patient history.
- Maintains clear and accurate patient medical records.
- Completes and records patient’s history and physical examination, orders appropriate tests, formulates a plan and prognosis, based on patient’s condition and under the supervision of the surgeon.
- Develops and provides patient education and discharge instructions, including ongoing efforts to further streamline a pre- and post-operative education program that fosters patient care, research, quality and education.
- Affixes to obtain and maintain the AAAASF accreditation for the department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent in education and experience required.
- 4 years related experience.
- Valid New York State RN license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred.
Skills
- Effective communication with multicultural and language-deficit patients.
- Fluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to successfully perform the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the position.

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
Pay
Salary Range: 70pr hr-70pr hr
