Vans: Marketplace Planner, Footwear

About the role

Vans is seeking a Marketplace Planner - Footwear to join our dynamic team. This role is based in our office in Costa Mesa, California, and is a hybrid position.

Responsibilities

• Owns and optimizes OTB strategy across key markets, aligning financial plans with corporate objectives while maximizing profitability and minimizing excess stock.
• Partners with key functions like merchandising, finance, supply chain, and global teams to drive business-wide planning transformation, implementing new tools, analytics, and best practices to enhance efficiency across global operations.
• Analytically supports the formulation of the Americas product assortment and the phases of product life cycle (preseason product line planning and in-season global trend analysis).
• Supports reporting across Vans’ Americas markets, contrasting top-down plans to consolidation of data from multiple countries/channels to track demand trends across DTC stores/ecommerce, wholesale, and franchise.
• Develops and maintains demand forecasts for key Vans product categories, ensuring alignment with brand and global sales strategies.
• Works with regional merchandising, finance, and supply chain teams to align assortment and sales strategies across different consumer segments, factoring in key consumer moments, pricing strategies, and macroeconomic influences.

Requirements

• Planning experience in an Omni, Multiple Retail Concept environment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills including the ability to read, analyze, and interpret retail reports.
• A proactive business management approach, completing all assignments and job duties in a timely manner.
• Advanced computer skills including Excel and Word.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in similar roles.
• Foundation skills in planning, analytics, and communication.

Pay

Hiring Range: $73,440.00 USD - $91,800.00 USD annually
