About the Role

We are seeking a dependable van rider who can work with children, has a pleasant demeanor, and good communication skills. This role is ideal for a dedicated individual looking to help prepare young children for meaningful lives within a culture of patient-centered care at Miracle Kids Success Academy (MKSA) & Kids Unlimited Learning Academy (KULA), an early intervention day treatment clinic for children with special needs.

Full-time and part-time positions are available.

About the Clinic

MKSA/KULA serves children with special needs who are referred by their primary care physicians. Children must receive a developmental screening and may be scheduled for therapy evaluations at MKSA/KULA or provide recent evaluation reports from elsewhere. To qualify for services, a child must have a documented developmental disability or delay and qualify for at least one therapy service, such as:

• Fine motor delays
• Sensory disorders
• Gross motor delays
• Speech-language delays
• Hearing disorders
• Feeding disorders
• Developmental delays
• Cognitive delays
• Medical needs

Children are placed in treatment rooms based on developmental needs and ages. Rooms are staffed with teachers and assistants and designed to celebrate cultural differences. Our team includes licensed occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, a licensed psychologist, and nutrition/audiology specialists. The entire treatment team collaborates with families to meet each child’s needs.

MKSA/KULA typically serves children from birth to Kindergarten but expands services during summer months to include elementary school-aged children with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Work with children from birth to age 6 and their families, who may be at risk.
• Handle multiple tasks in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people, including staff, families, and children.
• Follow simple to moderately detailed written or oral instructions.
• Perform basic computer tasks, including database, word processing, spreadsheet, and internet software.
• Read, comprehend, and write simple correspondence.
• Present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Perform basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• No prior experience required.
