Van Driver / Workstation Tech

This position primarily involves transporting staff between buildings for work-related tasks and handling parts deliveries. Additionally, the role includes performing PC and desktop updates. It combines the responsibilities of a Workstation Technician with driving duties, with a main focus on deliveries and transporting staff and parts.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and reliable delivery and pickup of parts and equipment.
• Transport departmental staff on Mayo-related business between buildings and campuses in Rochester and surrounding Mayo Clinic Rochester communities.
• Assist with parts inventory and sorting when not providing delivery or transportation services.
• Monitor the physical condition of the Equipment Services van and arrange for maintenance services as needed.
• Interact politely and professionally with vendors and all Mayo Clinic staff.
• Respond quickly to urgent delivery and transportation requests.
• Perform some heavy lifting (up to 60 pounds).

Requirements

• Ability to think and respond quickly while exhibiting good judgment.
• Work independently without direct supervision.
• Strong communication and telephone skills.
• Basic computer experience.
• Demonstrate sound decision-making capabilities when given conflicting information.
• Handle stressful situations in a calm and pleasant manner.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour. Individual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
