Value Stream Manager - Network Protectors

This role is based in Greenwood, SC with relocation assistance offered. The expected annual salary range is $97,000 – $143,000, based on skills, experience, and market considerations.

About the role

The Value Stream Manager oversees the Network Protector value stream at the Greenwood, SC plant, driving new product development, project management, and production operations. This position optimizes workflow from scheduling to delivery, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and continuous improvement while supporting the Operations Manager with strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations for 40+ shop floor employees, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Serve as backup for the Operations Manager, making key decisions and managing value stream activities.
• Develop and implement Current and Future State Maps using Lean principles to eliminate waste and optimize flow.
• Drive continuous improvement through process changes, technology upgrades, and policy enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, Engineering, Marketing) to meet productivity and scheduling goals.
• Align demand forecasts with capacity plans to ensure optimal schedule execution and resource utilization.
• Analyze operational data and key metrics, identifying improvement opportunities and executing action plans.
• Present performance results and improvement strategies in leadership forums, customer visits, and operations reviews.
• Develop staffing strategies and foster employee engagement, accountability, and a high-performance culture.
• Ensure a safe work environment through proactive accident prevention, investigations, and compliance with safety policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing/operations environment.
• Minimum of one year of management/supervisory experience in manufacturing or operations.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.

Relocation benefits are offered. Candidates must reside or be willing to relocate within 50 miles of Greenwood, SC (Active Duty Military Service members exempt from geographical limitation).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Experience in ETO (Engineer-to-Order) production or operations.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration.
• Experience deploying management business systems.
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of Lean principles and Agile methodologies.
• Proven leadership and communication skills.
• Experience managing end-to-end production processes.
