Value Added Associate

Rotating positions in the Value-Added (VA) Department across various functions including Repack Support, Case Pickers, Layer Pickers, and other VA needs.

Schedule

• 12-hour Day Shift: 5:00 am – 5:00 pm (rotating shift, every other weekend)
• 12-hour Night Shift: 5:00 pm – 5:00 am (rotating shift, every other weekend)

Pay

$20.00 to $24.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Order fulfillment duties for Client and other value-added customers
• Repack department tasks: staging, organizing, labeling, and stacking for support of Able Solutions Services, including packaging and auxiliary supplies
• Case and/or Layer picking: picking, labeling, wrapping, and organizing products
• Check and count freight for accuracy and/or damage; take inventory as needed
• Report faulty equipment, damage to racks, and other safety hazards to Supervisor
• Clear work area of loose wood and plastic; sweep area as needed
• Promote a safe work environment through personal actions
• Other duties as assigned

• Overall good attendance record and willingness to be adaptable
• Training will be provided for all tasks
• Safety, quality, and inventory accuracy minded
• Willingness to learn and rotate between varied departments and duties as needed
• Strong teamwork and organization skills
• Ability to work overtime, days and/or evenings, and weekends
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to pay close attention to details and meet deadlines

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Ability to work in varied departments
• Ability to lift (stack) case weight between 7 to 35 pounds repeatedly
• Ability to continuously bend and stoop to stack pallets
• Ability to read and write and perform basic math skills
• Comfortable with computer-based systems (Blue Yonder)
• Ability to drive a Forklift in tight spaces
