About the role
The Valuations Internship Program at Prairie Capital Advisors, Inc. is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in valuation and investment banking. Participants will gain hands-on experience in various client industries and engagements, including business valuation, ESOP advisory, and corporate finance assignments.
Responsibilities
- Prepares client deliverables including, but not limited to: valuation reports, presentations, and confidential marketing materials (such as pitchbooks)
- Conducts industry and economic research
- Affords assistance with valuation modeling projects that could include, but are not limited to: Discounted cash flow modeling, creating guidelines for comparable company analysis, transaction screening, LBO modeling
- Participates in project discussions and internal meetings
Requirements
- Actively working toward completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree program majoring in finance, accounting, economics, or another relevant field of study
- Completed coursework in Financial Accounting, Corporate Finance or Economics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage tight timelines in a team environment
