About the Role
The Valuation Associate (Private Credit) supports portfolio valuation, investment reporting, financial analysis, and fund performance reporting within a private credit investment environment.
Responsibilities
- Portfolio Valuation: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual valuations for private credit investments across multiple funds and investment vehicles.
- Performance Reporting: Assist with fund performance analysis and prepare management reporting packages for senior leadership.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Maintain investment portfolio records and support ongoing tracking of portfolio activity, performance, and valuation assumptions.
- Audit Coordination: Partner with external auditors and internal stakeholders to support valuation reviews and year-end audit procedures.
- Investor Reporting: Provide valuation data, portfolio metrics, and performance information to support fundraising initiatives and investor requests.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in transaction advisory, valuation services, audit, financial due diligence, or alternative investment accounting is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of private credit, alternative investments, valuation methodologies, and financial reporting principles is preferred, and CLO exposure is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and investment reporting tools is required.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are required.
