About the role
Fetch is hiring a full-time, field-based Area Supervisor to own service quality and contractor performance across a dedicated market of 5,000–10,000 units. This is a foundational role in a rapidly scaling company (from 500 to over 20,000 units in less than a year). The position is market-specific, requires hands-on leadership, and reports directly to the Area Manager.
Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance — 50%
- Conduct pre-service, live-service, and post-service quality checks and audits across assigned communities.
- Verify on-site logistics, equipment functionality, and service conditions meet Fetch standards.
- Monitor and drive community-level service quality rates, maintaining above 95% monthly.
- Run supply replenishment from the warehouse to communities or trash service partners.
- Document audit findings and field observations; report to the Area Manager.
- Use Fetch’s operational technology on your smartphone to log tasks, run audits, and verify service completion in real time.
- Contractor Onboarding & Orientation — 35%
- Conduct on-site orientations to ensure Service Partners understand site-specific access, logistics, and workplan standards.
- Oversee third-party service provider (TSP) workplan execution and make adjustments as needed.
- Coverage Gap Management — 15%
- Identify and respond to TSP no-shows, route gaps, or service disruptions within your market.
- Cover routes directly when needed to ensure communities are not left without service.
- Maintain a monthly completion rate above 95% by proactively identifying staffing gaps.
- Coordinate with the Area Manager on recurring coverage issues requiring contractor pipeline action.
Requirements
- Reliable open-bed pickup truck required for supply replenishment and field mobility.
- Willingness to perform hands-on, physical field work, including dirty, repetitive, or demanding tasks.
- Ability to lift and handle 50–70 lbs as required.
- Strong attention to detail with accurate and consistent documentation of field observations.
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and make sound field-level decisions.
- Basic proficiency with smartphones and mobile applications; comfortable learning Fetch’s internal platform tools.
- Prior experience in field operations, facilities, property services, or a supervisory role in a service environment preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Travel and Mileage
Travel within your assigned market is required on every scheduled shift. Approved work-related mileage is reimbursed at $0.70 per mile.
