Valet/Shuttle Driver (Non-CDL)

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of bus interiors, fuel buses, log trip counts, and assist disabled passengers.
• Be at work every scheduled day, on time, and in uniform.
• Carry a valid state-issued driver’s license at all times while on duty and maintain an acceptable DMV record.
• Courteously assist customers by answering questions or directing them to the Facility Manager for further assistance.
• Report accidents, policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
• Communicate debris, water, oil spills, and other hazards to the garage office.
• Substitute for Cashiers or Valets when necessary and authorized.
• Have thorough knowledge of garage areas, major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the garage’s vicinity.
• Assist customers with luggage and other traveling items, particularly when operating shuttle buses at airport locations.
• Assist the Facility Manager with other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Less than high school education or one month of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
• DOT Medical Card (Medical Examiner’s Certificate) required.
• Availability to work shifts including first, second, third, and weekends; open availability preferred.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one situations.
• Basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using units of American money.
• Maintain a neat, clean appearance and wear a complete uniform at all times.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle cash and equipment.
• Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance.
• May be required to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Pay

$21.00 per hour (+ tips). This role is eligible to earn tips in addition to the posted hourly rate.

• Shifts include first, second, third, and weekends.
