About the Role
The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. This role involves parking and retrieving guest vehicles promptly and safely, assisting guests with luggage, and delivering a high level of customer service.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients (25% of time).
- Acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor, using guest last names during interactions.
- Uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location. Practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette. Posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks (10% of time).
- Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously. Assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed. Opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests (20% of time).
- Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries. Provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms, and/or amenities of the facility, as well as main attractions in the area. Delivers messages, items, and/or guest amenities as requested. Shuttles guests to approved locations (10% of time).
- Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival. Issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys. Completes and maintains all ticket information, including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey, and claim check receipt. Consistently completes location on all key tags after parking vehicle. Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed (35% of time).
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work, or within a commutable distance.
- One (1) month of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and write standard English, comprehend simple instructions, and write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to add and subtract three-digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s, and perform operations using American currency.
- Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems, as well as rates applicable to time passed.
- Ability to perform parallel parking; operating a manual transmission is highly desirable.

Pay
Starting pay is $14 per hour plus $3 - $5 per hour in cash tips daily.
Schedule
The potential work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday between the hours of 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands
- The majority of work will be performed outdoors for extended periods, including the entire duration of a shift. Employees are subject to environmental conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Regularly required to talk or hear. Frequently required to sit or stand for extended periods and may need to run, walk, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Lifting requirements: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
- Travel of up to 5% may be required.
