Valet Driver - 24 Hours per Week - Days - Detroit

About the role

Under direct supervision, assist in transporting vehicles to and from the hospital entrance to valet parking areas and assist in traffic control at the hospital entrances.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and/or visitors with vehicles when arriving or departing from the hospital.
• Assist patients and/or visitors into and out of vehicles as needed or requested; must possess ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Receive cars from staff or visitors, drive to assigned parking area, and return when requested in a safe and quick manner.
• Examine each valet car received for any dents and/or scratches and note damage on valet ticket; report damage to Leader prior to parking.
• Issue ticket to patient/visitor and accurately complete valet ticket; turn into appropriate drop area.
• Account for all tickets issued and ensure their appropriate use.
• Treat all vehicles entrusted to valet drivers with care; no speeding, careless use, squealing wheels, or other mistreatment of vehicles.
• Inform leader/supervisor or manager of any changes or restrictions in driving license privileges.
• Maintain all equipment and supplies necessary to perform responsibilities.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read and write to understand oral and written instructions.
• Must learn to operate a manual transmission upon hire.
• Must have near and far visual acuity and depth and spatial perception when driving vehicles.
