Valet Bellperson - Marriott
About the Role
We are seeking a friendly, service-driven Bell Person / Valet to join our team. This is an on-call, hourly position with gratuity-earning potential. Ideal candidates enjoy creating memorable first impressions and delivering outstanding hospitality service.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome.
- Retrieve guests' items from cars, buses, vans, and carts.
- Load luggage and packages onto a bell cart to transport to designated rooms.
- Read and match luggage tags, write claim tickets, and detach portion to give to guest.
- Organize and store luggage as necessary in a designated area.
- Escort guests to accommodations.
- Visually inspect rooms and report deficiencies to housekeeping immediately.
- Point out room features and directory for reference.
- Deliver messages to meeting facilities and guest rooms upon request.
- Listen and respond to guest inquiries.
- Provide information regarding outlet hours, hotel services, and directions as needed.
- Pick up and deliver guest laundry to and from guest rooms in a timely and accurate manner.
- Deliver morning newspapers, VIP or Express Checkout packets, mail, packages, faxes, etc.
- Maintain and post hotel reader boards and public area signage.
- Clean and polish carts and other equipment as needed.
- Input and retrieve data in a computer system.
- Answer the Bell desk phone and provide information as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Work varying shifts.
Requirements
- Possess strong customer service skills.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License is required.
- Previous hotel experience preferred.

Pay
The compensation for this position is $11.91 per hour plus gratuities.
