Responsibilities
- Always display a positive and professional attitude and presentation when communicating with guests.
- Must be flexible with schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays with the understanding days off will fluctuate.
- Responsible for the staging of guest vehicles.
- Responsible for parking guest vehicles in the parking garage.
- Responsible for retrieval of vehicles in a timely manner.
- Maintain cashier work area in a clean, neat manner.
- Remove trash at end of shift.
- Collect appropriate amount of money in exchange for parking ticket/receipt.
- Keep money and tickets neat and secure.
- Assist guests with the checking in of coats, hats, and/or umbrellas in a friendly and professional manner.
- Issue claims checks for articles checked and return articles on receipt of check.
- Maintain cleanliness of coatroom.
- Maintain hanger tickets to assure numbers are on correct hanger and hanger is in correct slot on rack.
- Inform next shift of anything that may have happened regarding coatroom.
- Reconcile daily cash drawers.
- Adhere to cash handling procedures.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- The skills and abilities necessary for effective performance within this position are typically acquired through two months of on-the-job training or related experience.
- Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Commission.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.
- Good driver’s record within the last 48 months and cannot have more than 3 points on record.
- Must provide a current driving record.
- Must be tolerant of moderate to severe weather conditions.
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Basic math skills and 10-key calculator proficiency.
- Ability to be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests.
- Ability to remain calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere.
- Ability to present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while projecting a professional appearance.
- Ability to drive and handle cars of all makes and models, including automatic and manual transmissions.
- Ability to address stressful situations with guests with dignity and tact.
- Ability to walk/run 90% of shift and stand 10% of shift.
- Ability to tolerate running, stooping, and bending for long periods of time.
Pay
Pay Range: $2 - $25/hour
