Valet Attendant

About the role
This is a customer-facing position requiring strong interpersonal skills. The Valet Attendant will assist with duties at nearby locations and must be able to drive manual transmission (stick shift) vehicles. Two shifts are available:
- 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Responsibilities
- Perform regular patrols on all parking levels
- Assist customers with vehicle parking, retrieval, or relocation
- Ensure efficient operation of all vehicles for valet service and provide tags for vehicles
- Control traffic at entrances and exits at all times
- Perform minor repairs on parking equipment; contact supervisor if unable to repair
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Evaluate parking areas to optimize space utilization
- Provide superior customer service and interact positively with patrons
- Attend periodic meetings and training sessions
- Maintain compliance with uniform appearance standards while on duty
- Maintain cleanliness of the parking facility
- Perform routine maintenance and traffic directing
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to drive manual transmission (stick shift) vehicles
- High School Diploma or GED
Skills
- Read and interpret English-language documents (safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals)
- Effective written and oral communication with customers, co-workers, and management
- Basic proficiency in PC-based business software (Microsoft Office, email)
- Apply sound judgment to written, oral, or diagram-based instructions
- Apply technical training to daily tasks
- Excellent customer-service skills and follow-through on management directions
- Teamwork and adaptability in customer interactions

- Frequent: Standing, walking, talking, hearing, close and distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception
- Occasional: Sitting, use of hands to feel or grasp, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, working on a ladder, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting objects up to 50 lbs.
