About the role

This position supports our Financial Consulting, Bond Underwriting, and Stock Brokerage services, with a focus on Municipal Bonds, Public Finance, and Advisory. The role involves working closely with underwriters, consultants, and investment banking teams to deliver financing solutions for public sector and institutional clients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in structuring and executing municipal bond underwritings and public finance transactions
  • Prepare offering documents, bond resolutions, and official statements
  • Perform financial modeling, cash flow analysis, and credit assessments for bond issuances
  • Coordinate with legal counsel, trustees, and rating agencies throughout the financing process
  • Support broker-dealer activities including trade execution and client account management
  • Conduct market research and prepare advisory reports for clients on financing strategies
  • Participate in client presentations and due diligence meetings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
  • 3–7 years of experience in public finance, municipal bonds, or investment banking
  • Strong understanding of bond underwriting processes and SEC/MSRB regulations
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and spreadsheet analysis (Excel, Bloomberg, or equivalent)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting legal/financial documents
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Series 7 and Series 63/65 licenses preferred (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)

  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills
  • Knowledge of municipal market dynamics and interest rate structures
  • Proficiency in DBC, MSRB EMMA, and other public finance platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and document precision
  • Collaborative team player with client-facing professionalism

Pay

  • Base salary range: $120,000–$165,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
  • Discretionary performance bonus: up to 40% of base salary
  • Sign-on bonus eligibility for candidates with established public finance client relationships

Schedule
