Vacation Relief Operator (Night Shift)

Continental Dairy Facilities is Select Milk Producer’s first state-of-the-art powder milk and butter facility that produces over 300,000 pounds of dry non-fat milk per day in Coopersville, Michigan. Responsibilities
- Able and available to perform all production and warehouse positions in the absence of the operator who normally performs the job. This includes Evaporator/Dryer, Packaging, Receiving, Churn Operator, Butter Packaging and Warehouse positions.
- Receive incoming milk, and other products as needed.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
- Perform raw product load out as needed and any other duties assigned by management.
- Load out all raw products within specification prior to load out.
- Service pumps and valves as needed and/or per preventative maintenance schedule.
- Report immediately to supervisor of any damage, irregular activity, or unsafe conditions concerning equipment.
- Aid in the training of new personnel.
- Follow all safety, work, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) rules.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Must work in a safe, efficient manner and follow all safety procedures including the use of safety equipment.
- Must have the ability to troubleshoot small problems and be able to discern when issues may require input from levels of authority within the corporation.
- Must be willing to ask for assistance when the process is unclear.
- Must be able to operate the equipment effectively after the appropriate break-in period.
Qualifications
- A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
