Responsibilities

  • Work in a team environment to successfully complete project goals.
  • Communicate effectively with others; ask appropriate questions to clarify expectations.

  • Meet internal deadlines.
  • Implement assignments in accordance with health and safety and quality control requirements.
  • Adhere to project-specific and corporate-wide safety policies.
  • Execute field activities; records and maintains adequate documentation.
  • Maintain professional and capable image, while interacting with clients in the field.
  • Determine precise location in field environment using a variety of techniques such as use of global positioning equipment, or basic land navigation techniques using topographical map and compass.
  • Conduct visual UXO and DMM field search activities.
  • Supervise and perform the on-site demilitarization of munitions debris.
  • Prepare required range maintenance administrative reports.
  • Prepare site-specific safety procedures for range clearance activities.
  • Prepare risk and hazards analyses.
  • Supervise the safety performance of all on-site UXO-related operations.
  • Inspect and certify and/or verify job site as safe for transfer.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of EOD/UXO Experience.
  • 2 years' experience as UXOSO.
  • Significant experience in all aspects of munitions response actions or range clearance activities, as appropriate for the contracted operations.
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation.
  • Must be able to pass a physical.
  • Must have 40 Hour HAZWOPER
  • Must have OSASHA 30 Hour Construction Safety Course.
  • Must have OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety Course.
  • Must have current 8 Hour annual HAZWOPER Refresher (if applicable).
  • Must have valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Graduate of a military EOD School of the United States.
  • OR Graduate of military EOD school of Canada, Great Britain, Germany, or Australia.
  • OR Graduate of a formal training course of instruction or EOD assistant courses.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; ability to interpret and explain company policy concerning MEC safety practices to executives, managers, employees, and clients.
  • Intermediate user level of computer systems; Microsoft office software (word, excel, outlook), inventory databases, and documentation control systems.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a military EOD School of the United States.
  • OR Graduate of military EOD school of Canada, Great Britain, Germany, or Australia.
  • OR Graduate of a formal training course of instruction or EOD assistant courses.

Skills

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate user level of computer systems; Microsoft office software (word, excel, outlook), inventory databases, and documentation control systems.
