# Senior UX/UI Designer – Remote (Gov IT & Healthcare) ## About the Company GovCIO is a technology and consulting organization that delivers digital transformation and IT solutions for government agencies. GovCIO supports a growing portfolio of digital experiences for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), with an emphasis on usability, accessibility, innovation, and effective technology solutions. ## About the Role GovCIO is seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer to support and advance a portfolio of VA digital experiences. In this role, you will apply user-centered design and validation practices to improve usability, adoption, and workflow alignment for Veterans and clinical users. You will work closely with Product Managers, UI Designers, subject matter experts, and the UX Lead to understand user needs, develop design solutions, validate experiences, and translate research insights into actionable design improvements. This is a fully remote position available to candidates located within the United States. ### Key Responsibilities * Create user-centered UI designs and high-fidelity prototypes for VA digital experiences.* Conduct and support usability testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and design validation activities.* Collaborate with Product Managers, UI Designers, SMEs, and UX leadership throughout the design process.* Translate user research and testing insights into actionable design artifacts.* Identify usability challenges and opportunities to improve user workflows.* Develop design solutions that support adoption and effective user experiences.* Contribute to design decisions based on user needs, research findings, and product requirements.* Help ensure digital experiences align with the needs of Veterans and clinical users.* Communicate design concepts, findings, and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders. ### Required Qualifications * Experience designing user-centered digital experiences.* Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles and methodologies.* Experience creating high-fidelity prototypes and design artifacts.* Experience supporting usability testing and UAT.* Ability to collaborate effectively with product, design, technical, and subject matter experts.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Ability to translate user insights into practical design improvements.* Strong communication and presentation skills. ### Work Arrangement * Fully remote within the United States.* Collaboration with cross-functional teams supporting VA digital experiences.* Role focused on government IT and healthcare-related digital products. ## Equal Opportunity GovCIO is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants.
