About The Role The UX/UI Analyst / Developer at GLS US is a customer-centric technologist responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing digital customer experience platforms. This role operates at the intersection of research, design, and front-end engineering, translating business needs and user insights into intuitive, high-quality digital products for shippers, recipients, and internal stakeholders. Reporting to the VP of IT Services and guided by the Product Manager, the individual collaborates across departments and provides technical leadership to offshore development teams on large-scale projects. The role ensures alignment with enterprise technology strategies, maintains design standards, and continuously seeks to improve the user experience. Key responsibilities include owning end-to-end platform experiences, conducting user research, developing front-end components, coordinating offshore resources, and ensuring compliance with security and accessibility standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.3–6 years of combined experience in UX/UI design and front-end development within a corporate or enterprise setting.Proficiency with design tools such as Figma.Strong knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript.Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.Proven ability to coordinate with remote or offshore development teams.Strong analytical skills to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to diverse stakeholders. Preferred qualifications include experience in logistics or supply chain technology, familiarity with RESTful API integration, knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1), Agile/Scrum methodologies, analytics platforms, and DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git. Responsibilities Own the end-to-end user experience for GLS US customer-facing digital platforms, including shipper portals, tracking systems, and self-service tools.Define and maintain design standards, component libraries, and UX patterns to ensure consistency and accessibility across all platforms.Monitor platform performance and user feedback, translating data into prioritized improvement initiatives.Collaborate with Customer Service, Sales, and Operations teams to understand user needs and translate them into actionable design and development requirements.Conduct user research, including interviews, usability testing, and competitive analysis to inform design decisions.Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups using industry-standard tools like Figma.Ensure all designs adhere to accessibility best practices (WCAG 2.1 AA) and responsive design principles.Develop and maintain front-end components using modern web technologies, ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code; participate in code reviews to uphold quality standards.Integrate front-end features with back-end APIs and services, collaborating closely with backend development teams.Serve as the technical lead for offshore resources on large projects, defining work packages, acceptance criteria, and quality standards.Manage offshore sprint planning, stand-ups, and backlog grooming, ensuring timely delivery and quality.Partner with the Product Manager to define and refine the product roadmap, translating it into technical requirements and milestones.Provide regular status updates to leadership, highlighting progress, risks, and decision points.Ensure all platform modifications comply with GLS security, compliance, and change management standards.
