UX/UI Designer - Remote

About The Role

We are seeking an exceptional UX/UI Designer who is passionate about creating intuitive, user-centered designs. In this role, you will leverage modern AI-assisted tools as part of our design and development workflow, exploring new workflows that enhance productivity and creativity.

You will take ownership of your projects, proactively identifying problems, proposing solutions, and experimenting with new approaches without waiting for detailed instructions. This position requires a self-directed individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating high autonomy and decision-making capabilities. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and stakeholders, to deliver high-quality, cohesive user experiences that align with our mission to improve health and wellness through thoughtful design.

Qualifications

• Degree in user experience design, interaction design, graphic design, or a related field
• Minimum of 5+ years of professional UX/UI design experience, preferably in agile and iterative environments
• Proficiency with Figma, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and standards such as Google Material Design and Apple Human Interface Guidelines
• Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and A/B testing
• Strong visual design skills, including typography, color theory, and layout
• Interest or experience in using AI tools like Cursor to enhance design processes
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) preferred
• Highly self-motivated, responsible, and accountable with a proactive mindset
• Enthusiasm for health, wellness, and creating products that positively impact mental, physical, emotional, and social health
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, managing time and priorities independently

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify design problems and opportunities, rather than merely executing assigned tasks
• Stay curious about emerging AI tools and their impact on design workflows
• Experiment, learn publicly, and iterate rapidly to refine user experiences
• Take full responsibility for design outcomes, ensuring quality and user satisfaction
• Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for multiple devices and interfaces
• Utilize AI-assisted tools such as Cursor to accelerate ideation, prototyping, documentation, and iteration processes
• Continuously explore and evaluate new tools and workflows to improve UX/UI design efficiency and quality
• Conduct ongoing user research through playtesting, feedback collection, and usability testing to inform design improvements
• Develop a deep understanding of the Lore app by daily use to inform intuitive design decisions
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers and stakeholders, to ensure cohesive user experiences
• Maintain consistency across designs using Figma asset libraries and branding guidelines
• Iterate designs based on user feedback, data analysis, and usability testing results
• Advocate for end users throughout all phases of the design process, ensuring their needs are prioritized
• Stay current with the latest UX/UI trends, techniques, and technological advancements
• Participate in daily remote meetings, providing high-quality design deliverables and insights
