About the role

Artificial intelligence will be one of humanity’s most transformative inventions. At Google DeepMind, we are a pioneering AI lab with exceptional interdisciplinary teams focused on advancing AI development to solve complex global challenges and accelerate high-quality product innovation for billions of users. We use our technologies for widespread public benefit and scientific discovery, ensuring safety and ethics are always our highest priority.

Responsibilities

  • Stand up and lead a research democratization program. Create the playbooks, templates, self-serve workflows, and guardrails that empower the broader UX, Product, and Engineering teams to connect with customers safely, ethically, and responsibly.
  • Manage the GeminiApp UXR budget, navigate complex procurement processes, and own relationships with external research vendors and tool providers.
  • Lead and mentor a small, high-performing team of contractors dedicated to participant recruitment, panel management, and operational support.
  • Design and scale new initiatives that lower the friction for the entire UX organization to get in front of customers, driving a deeply embedded culture of customer obsession.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI (including Gemini) to streamline the research life cycle—from automated scheduling and repository tagging to AI-driven synthesis and distribution of insights.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred qualifications: Track record of standing up operational programs (like UXR democratization) from scratch in high-growth, fast-evolving technology organizations.
