UX Designer, Shopping Design

About the role

The Amazon Shopping Design team is seeking a UX Designer to lead the evolution of the shopping experience at Amazon. This role involves working with voice and graphical interfaces in a dynamic environment, from concept to launch.

Responsibilities

• Create ambitious concepts and iteratively improve them using data-driven insights
• Develop and execute end-to-end user experiences across multiple platforms
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and marketing teams to align on design strategies
• Conduct brainstorming sessions and present design decisions to cross-functional teams
• Translate customer needs and constraints into intuitive, customer-focused solutions

Requirements

• Experience with early-stage product development for multi-modal consumer experiences
• Passion for innovation and a commitment to excellence
• Strong portfolio showcasing experience in creating user-centered design solutions
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar

Qualifications

• 5+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience
• Experience designing and prototyping with tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar
• Knowledge of UX and/or CX design and usability

Skills

• Experience with UX design of complex workflows
• Experience owning end-to-end programs to drive results
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively
• Experience collaborating with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders
• Experience planning and executing effective customer research
• Experience designing multi-modal product experiences, with conversancy in natural language conversation
• Experience defining and driving creative solutions in new or ambiguous product territory
• Experience as a design owner for UX and conversational design
