UX Designer — Full-Stack UX/UI THIS ROLE IS HYBRID AND HOURS ARE 30-35 A WEEK** Overview As a UX Designer with Aquent Studios, you’ll contribute to the full design process, from understanding customer and business needs through design, development, testing, and post-release improvements. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, UX Writing, and other cross-functional partners to create thoughtful, user-centered digital experiences. This is a hands-on role where you’ll create journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma while working within established design systems. You’ll also collaborate closely with engineers and have a working understanding of front-end development frameworks and tools such as Storybook and Chromatic. You’ll use user research, competitor insights, usability testing, performance data, and industry best practices to inform your design decisions. You’ll also have opportunities to incorporate AI tools and techniques into your design process and stay current with evolving UX practices and technologies. Key Responsibilities Conduct UX research activities such as competitor analysis, heuristic evaluations, user interviews, contextual inquiry, and usability testing.Create journey maps and other UX artifacts to identify customer pain points and opportunities for improvement.Translate research findings, business requirements, and customer needs into clear and actionable design solutions.Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity digital designs in Figma, with a strong focus on usability, information architecture, interaction design, and visual quality.Apply established design system principles and components consistently across digital experiences.Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, UX Writing, and other partners throughout the design and development process.Work closely with engineers to communicate design intent, answer implementation questions, and account for technical considerations and future states.Contribute to design reviews and incorporate feedback from product, engineering, legal, marketing, and other stakeholders.Use usability testing and performance data to evaluate designs and identify opportunities for improvement.Contribute to team processes, documentation, and design standards.Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, Agile environment.Jump into projects at different stages and adapt designs based on changing requirements and feedback.Explore and incorporate AI tools and techniques where they can improve the design process, research, or user experience.Stay current with UX/UI tools, design practices, and emerging technologies. Required Experience 3–5 years of professional UX/UI or product design experience, with hands-on experience across both UX and visual/UI design.Experience working in fast-paced, Agile product development environments.Strong proficiency in Figma, including wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity design.Experience working with and contributing to established design systems.Working knowledge of user research methods and usability testing.Ability to translate research, customer feedback, business requirements, and performance data into practical design solutions.Understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design.Experience collaborating closely with Product and Engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.Working knowledge of front-end development concepts and frameworks; familiarity with tools such as Storybook and Chromatic is a plus.Experience using Agile development tools and processes.Familiarity with analytics and performance tools such as Hotjar, FullStory, or similar platforms.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly explain design decisions and incorporate feedback.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment. Nice to Have Experience working in financial services, fintech, or banking.Experience with Storybook and/or Chromatic.Familiarity with front-end technologies and development workflows.Experience incorporating AI tools into UX research or design workflows.Experience working with analytics or product performance data.Portfolio demonstrating a range of UX/UI work from research and wireframes through final designs and prototypes. Other Requirements Compensation Range: $55-60 hrly The range provided is our reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location.
