Responsibilities
- Lead user-centered design processes with a cross-functional team of product managers, delivery managers, developers, designers, and business partners.
- Plan and lead user research initiatives, employing generative and evaluative research methods.
- Help product teams use research findings, data, and insights to inform design decisions and validate design solutions.
- Design usable responsive applications for various customer roles and products, applying design system standards to specialized applications.
- Quickly learn and understand specialized business and logistics domains, analyzing complex workflows spanning multiple departments and user groups.
- Communicate design decisions effectively to stakeholders, including articulating design rationale and influencing decision-making.
- Create and present research, design, and test artifacts, including sketches, wireframes, visual design comps, high-fidelity prototypes, user flows, journey maps, personas, usability test artifacts, user research scripts, reports, and presentations.
- Collaborate with a matrixed team of UX designers, providing design critiques and offering guidance to early career designers.
Requirements
- Strong background in UI and responsive/mobile design.
- Proven experience in visual design and usability testing.
- Experience conducting both quantitative and qualitative user research.
- Proficiency in Figma design and prototyping software or similar tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience leading design projects and guiding development teams to execute UX designs.
- Experience facilitating workshops with large groups of stakeholders.
- Experience with design systems such as Material Design and familiarity with design repositories like Dovetail.
- Experience using analytics software and analyzing data.
- Experience presenting to company executives.
- Experience with AI-assisted design tools like Figma AI, Adobe Sensei, Microsoft Copilot.
- Understanding of how AI impacts UX workflows, user behavior, and ethical design considerations.
