Utilization Review Clerk - PRN

About the role

Brentwood Springs, part of Lifepoint Behavioral Health, a nationally recognized healthcare organization with a diverse network across the country, is seeking a Utilization Review Clerk on a PRN basis.

Responsibilities

• Provides clerical support to the UR Manager and UR Team.
• Enters information and scans documentation into the Medik, patient database system accurately.
• Maintains appropriate stock of paperwork/forms and supplies to support the UR Department.
• Checks on authorization status with the assessment department.
• Affords assistance to other units and departments, as needed.
• Sends appropriate documentation to managed care companies in the appropriate timeframe.

Qualifications

• A high school degree or equivalent is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) must be obtained within 30 days.
• Flexible scheduling and the potential for overtime may be required.
• Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility or office support and organizational experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
