Utility Worker One (Deer Valley PM Shift)

About the role
Our Deer Valley Garage has an immediate opening for a Utility Worker One. The established headquarters for this position is subject to relocation to the Hub West Service Center, a facility that will be located 38 miles west of downtown Phoenix, on a date to be determined by the company.
Responsibilities
- General shop cleanup
- Parts delivery and pickup
- Assist mechanics as needed
- Shuttle vehicles to various locations
- Tire repair and service (Upon Certification)
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a High School diploma or GED
- Valid Manual Transmission Commercial Driver’s License (Class “A”) with no mechanical restrictions (i.e., airbrakes) and ability to meet all DOT requirements
- Pass EEI CAST Test
- Must live a reasonable distance (one (1) hour) from headquarters
- This position requires working with aerial equipment, which has weight restrictions of 300 lbs or less
- Must be physically able to handle heavy outdoor work in extreme summer conditions
- Must be capable of operating all types of equipment and vehicles
- Be able to work under minimal supervision
- Handling and maneuvering of wheel rim assemblies weighing in excess of 120lbs may be required
- U.S. person status (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee) as defined under U.S. Export Control Laws

Night Shift: 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Role Type
Onsite: Requires work to be performed in the field and/or at an APS facility. Employees are expected to reside in Arizona (or New Mexico for Four Corners-based employees).
