Responsibilities
- Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
- Cleans hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
- Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
- Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
- Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
- Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays.
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Replenishes bathroom supplies.
- Maintains outside grounds and parking areas, including picking up litter and keeping walkways and driveways free of debris.
- Delivers messages.
- Transports small equipment or tools between departments.
- Assists housekeeping staff with heavy cleaning or moving of items.
- Picks up soiled linen and trash from housekeepers carts.
- Tows rolling trash bins to be emptied and compacted.
- Shampoos carpets, scrubs floors using a rotary machine or extractor.
