Utility Worker

Responsibilities

• Clean the plant, office, and all other assigned areas to meet standards required for operations.
• Assist production as assigned and directed.
• Follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved, replaced, or re-ordered.
• Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or forklift.
• Lift heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and deep clean work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators.
• Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty, including the ability to work overtime as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous forklift experience preferred but not required.
• Effectively communicate with co-workers and management regarding work and safety issues.
• Some PC skills helpful, but not required.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
