Utility Worker

Purpose

The Utility Operator plays a crucial role in manufacturing, focusing on identifying and preventing issues within the plant environment.

About the Role

Join our team at the Kansas City plant as a Utility Operator. This role requires schedule flexibility and availability to work 8 or 12-hour shifts primarily on 2nd shift, with the possibility of overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Packaging With Care – Prepare finished products according to prescribed procedures, ensuring high-quality packing of goods.
• Operating Machinery – Work with computer-controlled equipment or mechanical machines, cleaning and preparing them for production, assembling, and disassembling equipment.
• Managing Machine Performance – Ensure machines are stocked and operating at full capacity.
• Following Best Practices – Adhere to good manufacturing practices while supporting the company’s efforts to produce quality snacks for customers.

Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Flexibility to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting or related position preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of safety protocols.

Pay

The starting hourly rate for this position is $27.55 per hour.
