Responsibilities
- Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
- Operate machinery used in production or assist machine operators.
- Place products in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting and wrapping.
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
- Start machines or equipment to begin production processes.
- Observe equipment operations to detect malfunctions and notify operators, supervisor, or maintenance.
- Remove products or waste material from machines.
- Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items manually.
- Transfer finished product or raw material between storage and work areas of plant by hand or using forklift.
- Pack and store materials and products.
- Mark and tag products.
- Dispose materials into machine hoppers prior to mixing.
- Mix ingredients according to specified procedures or formulas.
- Know, implement, and delegate FSMS responsibilities as required.
- Use high pressure hose to wash parking lot, plant equipment, and surrounding areas of plant including spilled material on lot.
- Paint and wash plant equipment and building fixtures as necessary.
- Use standard hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, wrenches, etc.) and power tools (drills, impact drivers, saws, etc.).
- Operate company vehicles around plant and property.
- Ensure steady flow of raw material from trailers to dock in safe and efficient manner.
- Check and report condition of raw material load and truck interior.
- Maintain safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years old with clean MVR.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Frequently exposed to high noise levels, strong odors, varying temperatures, and biohazardous conditions. Travel to off-site locations is required. Requires prolonged sitting and frequent walking/movement, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb or balance. Must be able to communicate effectively and identify potential workplace hazards. Requires the ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
