Responsibilities
- Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
- Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators.
- Place products in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting and wrapping.
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
- Start machines or equipment to begin production processes.
- Observe equipment operations to detect malfunctions and notify operators, supervisor, or maintenance of any issues.
- Remove products or waste material from machines.
- Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items manually.
- Transfer finished product or raw material between storage and work areas of the plant by hand or using a forklift.
- Pack and store materials and products.
- Mark and tag products.
- Dispose materials into machine hoppers prior to mixing.
- Mix ingredients according to specified procedures or formulas.
- Know, implement, and delegate FSMS responsibilities as required.
- Use high-pressure hose to wash parking lots, plant equipment, and surrounding areas of the plant, including spilled material on the lot.
- Paint and wash plant equipment and building fixtures as necessary.
- Use standard hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, wrenches, etc.) and power tools (drills, impact drivers, saws, etc.).
- Operate company vehicles around the plant and property.
- Ensure a steady flow of raw material from trailers to dock in a safe and efficient manner.
- Check and report the condition of raw material loads and truck interiors.
- Maintain safety as a top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years old with a clean MVR.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Frequently exposed to high noise levels, strong odors, varying temperatures, and biohazardous conditions. Travel to off-site locations is required. Requires prolonged sitting and frequent walking/movement, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing or balancing. Must be able to communicate effectively and identify potential workplace hazards. Requires the ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
