Utility Technician - North Chicago, IL

About the role

The Utility Technician position is available to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers. This role is based out of our Chicago (Lemont), IL service center.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload rental equipment and materials with large and small forklifts
• Prepare and verify quality/accuracy of counts of rental equipment prior to delivery
• Clean and put away rental equipment upon return to service center
• Keep the yard and warehouse clean, organized and up to safety standards
• Drive inventory accuracy of rental equipment and accessories
• Inventory cycle counts
• Wash rental equipment
• Inspect and repair cable
• Inspect and repair auto

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent
• 0-3 years of experience working in a yard or warehouse
• Excellent customer service skills
• Embraces and promotes safety culture
• Positive, self-starter who enjoys working with others in a fast-paced environment to deliver consistent quality
• Able to work overtime, travel and on-call
• Able to move or lift objects, typically less than 75lbs

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion
• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items
• Must have functional hand-eye coordination
• Must have adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders

Pay

Hourly range $25 to $27 an hour
