Utility-Stock-Dishwasher (Per Diem)

About the role

Sets up dish station and three-bay sink, and washes pots, pans, china, silverware, tools, and equipment according to sanitary procedures. Stocks cook stations and tray line with clean dishes. Retrieves dirty trays from patient floors according to hospital standards. May need to stock kitchenettes and outpatient areas according to par levels. Records stock taken on sheets provided. Takes refrigerator and dish machine temperatures and records them daily. Assists in receiving and putting away deliveries. Removes trash from kitchen and café, and washes floors throughout production areas. Performs daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning jobs. Maintains the cleanliness of the dish room and machine at all times.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves and cleans patient dishes in a timely manner. Always leaves an empty cart for unit to use.
• Stocks station with clean china before meal service.
• Removes trash in a timely manner from the kitchen and café, and places trash and cardboard in the appropriate receptacles.
• Records dish machine temperatures and pressure on a daily basis.
• Records kitchenette temperatures when doing stock on a daily basis.
• Records stocking levels on par sheets.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.

Physical Demands

Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 50 pounds of force frequently. Work is physically demanding and requires extended periods of standing and/or moving.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.88 per hour. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, including seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
