About the role

Brock & Company is seeking a dependable Utility Associate to join our team in a private school dining environment. This role is full-time, benefits-eligible, and offers a competitive pay rate of $17-$18 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized workstation by washing equipment and service ware, receiving and distributing deliveries, proper sanitation of the kitchen and dining room, trash removal, and floor maintenance.
• Stand for extended periods of time and lift and move food, food containers, and other non-food items from floor position to no higher than one's own height.
• Adhere to client and company protocols related to COVID-19 workplace safety and sanitation standards.
• Washing, sanitizing, and maintenance of food production equipment & service ware as directed by the supervisor.
• Remove trash and waste as directed by the supervisor to a designated location.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area according to supervisor's instructions and applicable health, safety, and food handling regulations.
• Receive, unpack, unwrap, rotate, and store deliveries into appropriate refrigerators, freezers, and storerooms as instructed by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Familiarity with food handling safety standards and sanitation practices.
• Basic knowledge of a 3-compartment sink.
• Experience with receiving and putting away food items (FIFO, HAACP Principles).
• Flexibility with schedule including some early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
